Poem: Flowers in the Window

Flowers in the Window

Flowers in the window
remind you of gardens,
and how life blossoms within
even in dark rooms; how

life flourishes only where we choose,
only when we choose,
and nowhere else.

Hi Tom,

In a dark room life may bloom only when and where we choose but I'd like to think that life can bloom anywhere, anytime; sometimes in the most unexpected of places.

This poem and your post about Grace on Saturday...have both added Grace to my life. I had a particulary tough time Saturday...at a funeral of a much cherished and admired friend...maybe ten years older than I am...whose life was so valuable to her many friends...her son and daughter...Hers was one of those deaths where you just know the world has lost one of its bright burning stars....and even for the faithful...hard to comprehend. I am going to visit Sacred Space, and bring in some fresh flowers...and allow my life to flourish ..despite the losses and my own shortcomings...
