Poem: Eternity

Eternity

Eternity is measured
not by some neverending certainty,
but by seasons,
constantly changing,
always the same, always different,
in timing and passion,
in violence, brokenness and growth,
always something created
despite loss and destruction,
a universe of prayers
flying madly through the sky,
to and from a God,
who like a masterful conductor,
bring eternal order
from our chaotic pleas.
