When I was a kid, my first love of a "real" artist was Salvadore Dali. His wildly fanciful art sang to me in the way others did not, and that love of Dali continued for years and years, through college and into my young adult years.
But it faded in time. I discovered many other artists and my fascination with Dali waned - until about a decade ago when I had the chance to see some of his work, the originals, all together in a special exhibit in Philadelphia. Seeing them in their original colors just blew me away, and re-inspired me in all kinds of ways.
Now, I find out that a new Dali museum is opening in St. Petersburg, FL. I am so ready to go! And you can go visit their site to learn more.
