Poem: Reflections on a Mill

Reflections on a Mill

The gears turn, driven
by clear, almost silent water, groaning
as they turn, their rust,
a testimony

to generations, turning
round to the same place, reminding us
that nothing is done,
that eternity

comes full circle, love
comes full circle, and that all that is lost
comes back to those who believe,
and wait patiently

on the Lord.

What goes around, comes around, I guess!
