Photographs: Vermont in the Fall

A few pictures of Vermont in the fall. These were taken at Burr and Burton Academy in Manchester, VT, about 20 miles from my house. As always, you can click on the image for a larger version.

Simply wonderful.

In all my 23 years in DC, I never made it further north than New York City. Such a shame!

I love the light in these pictures and am tempted to ask which camera you use (I know, it's not the camera, but sitting at my desk, I can't help but wonder how you caught that light - studying theory and Photoshop does this to me).

Merisi,

Currently I am using a Canon XSi Rebel. Pictures are about lot of things, but color seems to be mostly about the light. Like you, I travel a bit (though perhaps not as far afield as you), and what strikes me is how different the light is from place to place. As I travel around my new home in Vermont, I am always noticing how the light looks at different times in different places. And then I often go back to those places at times when I know the color will be the way I want a picture to look.
