Have Fun. Make a living

From an article in YES!, a weekly publication: According to a study prepared by the NC Department of Commerce’s Policy, Research and Strategic Planning Division titled, “Creativity Means Business: Economic Contributions of North Carolina’s Creative Industry,” the creative industry in North Carolina accounts for nearly 300,000 jobs, more than 5.5 percent of the state’s workforce, with a market value of $41.4 billion."

And here us creative types just thought we were having fun.

The rest of the article is here, but the point I wanted to make is that we have this image of starving creative people, but the reality is that a lot of good, well adjusted people are making a good living, contributing to the enconomy, and having fun and joy in their lives all at the same time. That's important to know.
