How did I know this? Maybe it's because I read bedtime stories to my kids until they could not take it any more (what a shame they grow up.) and both have turned into very creative people on all sorts of fronts.
Anyway, in case there was any doubt, here's research that backs it up, reading bed time stories breeds more creative kids. Now there is a reason to read other than the fact that it gives us a chance to read all those cool kids books.
