Poem: Golden Fog

Golden Fog

Not all fog is grey,
for this day
there is fog of golden yellow,
with the promise
of sunlight,
of green pastures and life
beyond the veil,
a mysterious new light,
not frightening,
but exhilarating
in anticipation.

The picture was taken near Mount Jackson, Va, early this morning. No photoshop has been applied. The fog really was this color. You can click on it for a larger version.

Absolutely beautiful.
I've seen that light as well.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi Tom,

Wouldn't it be great if fog were always like this?! Definite promise beyond the veil.

The fog IS unusual. I was driving on Interstate 81 as the dawn unfolded and when the fog turned golden, I had to stop, pull off the side of the road and take the pictures. The color lasted just a couple of minutes and had I even driven to the next exit, I would have missed it. Sometimes, we have to capture the moment!
