Poem: Love Lies Sleeping

Love Lies Sleeping

You watch her sleep,
calmness in every line of her body,
a peace as palpable
as the soft rise and fall of her chest,
calling you to kiss her,
wrestling between passion
and the desire to let her peace
continue beyond dreaming.

Like I have a picture to illustrate THIS one. Fat chance! But I liked the poem when I was done writing it.
